Dealing with customers and visitors is a matter of trust. InRoomPad LLC considers it an important obligation to handle your personal data carefully and protect them from any misuse
This privacy policy applies to our mobile iPhone and Android apps (hereinafter “App”). It clarifies the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data in the context of App use.
In the following privacy statement, we intend to inform you about which data we store and how we use it, in compliance with current data protection legislation.
Please note that data transmission on the Internet may be subject to security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Collection, processing and use of personal data

Downloading and using our app does not disclose any personal information. You remain completely anonymous. We only get the push ID of your device, which does not give any information about your person. This information may be used for statistical analysis, for push messaging, for error logging and correction, and more generally to optimize our mobile presence and the technology behind it.
In general, we only collect, process or use your personal data when you have provided this voluntarily or you have expressly consented to it, in compliance with current data protection legislation.
Should we wish to process or use your personal data for other purposes, and there is no legal permission to do so, we will ask for your consent. We will draw your attention to this opportunity within our services, should the need arise.
Data that you provide to us will not be passed on to third parties. Any transfer of personal data to state authorities will take place only as required by national legislation.
However, we may use service providers for the operation of this app or for further services we offer. We select our service providers carefully, especially with regard to data protection and data security. We also take all measures required by data protection law for permissible data processing.

Personal data may be collected in the context of app use:
(i) Through the access rights required by the app and accepted by the user
(ii) Through data the app user enters voluntarily: When digitally communicating with our clients (from the hospitality business), users of services offered by these clients (guests) may enter personal data in the app. The entered data is forwarded to e-mail addresses specified by the clients, via OVH SMTP client.

After the message is sent by InRoomPad Mobile/OVH to InRoomPad Mobile clients, its deletion depends on the applicable law.
Personal data that may be collected from guests and transmitted to clients are: Name, Address, Phone number, E-mail, Number and age of children (if relevant for booking a room), Time and duration of stay, Date and place of birth.
Should users of the services enter personal data of third parties, this must be done with their consent.

Access rights for the app

To allow our app to function normally, providing the intended services, we need the access rights to certain functions of your device.


INTERNET CONNECTION


The app requires access to Internet to download app content from the backend.
Camera

The access right to your device’s camera allows you to, among others, scan QR codes to access your host, and to upload photos for the feedback function…

Location

The app may access your GPS location, which is required to optimize the services offered to you. This access is done with your explicit permission.

Images, Media, Files

The app requires access rights to change the local storage, for downloading app photos and for uploading feedback photos.

Storage of data

On app installation, we collect the push ID of the used device. This data does not give any information about your person.
All data will be saved until the app is deleted.

Data security and encryption

To protect data you have given us from manipulation, loss or access by unauthorized persons we have implemented different technical measures. Access is limited to a few authorized personnel who are in charge of data management and specifically committed to dealing with data privacy.
Our app uses SSL encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content, preventing the data you transmit from being read by unauthorized third parties.

Data retention

InRoomPad LLC only store your data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes or until you object to the data processing. Thereafter, the data will be deleted or blocked if the deletion conflicts with statutory provisions or legitimate interests. A legitimate interest exists e.g. regarding the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Your rights to access your personal information

According to the GDPR, app users have the unlimited right to access information about their stored data as well as a right of correction, deletion or blocking of data.
Upon request, we will be happy to provide you with needed information, and will take appropriate steps to update or rectify your data stored with us. For that, please send your request by email or by post, clearly identifying yourself:
